The UGC Sponsored two-day National Seminar is being organized by the Department of Zoology of our institution in collaboration with such reputed institutions as Center for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka State Forest Department, Green Academy, Uttara Kannada and two academic forums of our institution Bio club and Upanishad. We hope that the event will provide a common platform to the scholars in the fields of Natural Science as well as Humanities to take up an interdisciplinary exploration to reinvent indigenous knowledge systems for use in the contemporary world.

III.            Ancient Indian Roots of Conservation Ethics

VI.          Flora and fauna in ancient regional literature with special focus on Kannada Literature.
